General Surgery

The department of Surgery was established in 2012 since the inception of this institution. First batch of MBBS students was admitted in 2013 in this college. The training of students was started in the department of Surgery in 2014. uptil now two batches of MBBS students have passed and one batch has already completed its internship.

The department of Surgery has been inspected for postgraduation and 10 post graduate seats have been approved. The session is likely to start from this academic year.

The department of Surgery has five units and the faculty is highly qualified and well trained to perform all open and laparoscopy procedures. The department is well equipped and having modern operation theatres and intensive care unit. The department has served as platform for many senior residents and assistant professors for admission to surgical superspecialities.

The faculty members are regularly attending the national conferences, have presented and chaired the sessions. They are going as external examiners to conduct undergraduate and post graduate exams in instituitions of various states.

The department has contributed in international and national journals.

The college and department holds regular clinical and death review meeting which will definitely improve the patient care and teaching.

The department is regularly participating in field camps in rural areas for needy poor patients.
